Day 1: Robespierre
Here he is! Does anyone else remember this little chicken character from a cartoon back in the sixties? If I recall correctly, he fell off a farm truck, and his mother ran around frantically looking for him, calling "Robespierre! Robespierre!" in a falsetto voice. This little statue is so precious to me. It reminds me of the cartoon, and I bought it in a little shop called Taddinger's on one of my earliest trips to Vermont to visit my dear friend Angela. Sadly, Taddinger's has closed.
Lessons learned, Day 1:
1. Pick something less complicated tomorrow.
2. Don't use a black background. I was afraid to use straight black. Without it, I just didn't capture the oddness of this little guy.
